The Raleigh County Landmarks website includes Raleigh County's official list of cultural resources worthy of preservation. Authorized by the Raleigh County Commission in 1978, the county register includes districts, sites, buildings, structures, and objects that are significant in Raleigh County history, architecture, archeology, engineering, and culture. The Raleigh County Register of Historic Places is administered by the Raleigh County Historic Landmarks Commission.
We encourage all visitors to add comments in our galleries, send gallery photos out as e-postcards, and contact us about registering a historic site of which you are aware.
